Ghosts of a young boy and old man haunt this Newark home. Ghost Hunters conducted an investigation on 5/14/05. We were called by the owners who thought they were experiencing a haunting. A child in the home has seen the ghost of a young boy on several occasions. An adult that lives in the home saw a child figure waving from the bedroom window, but no one was home at the time. Unexplained footsteps and crashing noises are heard in the upstairs bedrooms. Things have gone missing and turn up in unexpected places. Once a partially filled water jug flew off the kitchen counter. The voices of a young boy and a very grouchy old man have been recorded by other investigators.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened the night we were there. Unfortunately we didn't see any ghosts and we didn't capture any evps. We did get something on a video recording. We had 3 camcorders but the one we used in the master bedroom is supposed to have night shot but it doesn't work. When we set the camera up in the bedroom the idea was to leave the door open so the light from a nearby bathroom would light the room somewhat. But when 2 Ghost Hunter's members went into the room to try for some evps they forgot about the camcorder in the corner and they shut the door. As a result all that was recorded was darkness and sound, or so we thought.  
 
I was disappointed to learn that the recorder ran for an hour with no light source because I knew I wouldn't see anthing but blackness. I decided to let the tape play anyway just in case it had recorded some evps. I hear Darla ask any ghosts that may be present to please show themselves. Since I thought nothing was going to be seen in the recording I was very surprised to see something appear a few seconds later on the left side of the screen. It hesitates and then it flies across the screen. The 2 members of G.H.O.S.T. in the room did not have a flashlight. The blinds were shut. It is not dust, there wasn't a light source to reflect dust. We are not sure what it is. Within a minute or two it came back from the right side of the screen and went left. It did not appear again after that.
